I moved from Germany to Hattiesburg Mississippi and then to San Antonio. My husband and I tried a few CrossFit gym's in the area and Elite seems to be the perfect fit. I started sports pretty late. As a kid I was not interested in these things and would rather play my piano or read or just hang out with friends. My first serious sport was spinning.....I was very skinny and wanted bigger legs (I listened to girls who were always complaining their legs would be too big because of spinning That transitioned to mountain biking and road biking up to 200km (120 miles) in one session.....I would probably die if I would try it now again. Later I knew I wanted to be a firefighter, and knew I needed more strength especially in my upper body so I joined a normal gym and did bodybuilding on top of my cycling but it was kind of boring to do it alone and honestly my legs didn't want to get bigger...lol. I made it through the firefighter sports test, tough At some point I heard about CrossFit and tried my first class out of the blue in 2017 without any real knowledge about it. I remember it was some wod with squat snatches and slamballs.... never heard of that.... jumped into the class and used a 15kg women's bar. My legs were sore as f... the next morning. I've not had that feeling for a long time. So I thought, if this will not help me to get stronger (and get bigger legs) ,I don't know what else. So that's it!
